Pioneers of Modern Art In Malta – Volume 2

Following Heritage Malta’s latest highly acclaimed ‘Vincent Apap; Works from the National Collection’ exhibition, and two international shows, ‘I fought the X and the X Won’ and Riccardo Licata’s ‘Mediterranean Soul’, Heritage Malta’s National Museum of Fine Arts is proud to host the forthcoming official book launch of Joseph Paul Cassar’s ‘Pioneers of Modern Art in Malta’. An exhibition of modern works of art from the National Collection, curated by Professor Cassar, will also be inaugurated on the same evening.

Prof Joseph Paul Cassar is a practising artist, art historian, art critic, curator and educator. He was a decisively inspiring academic spearheading the formation of a generation of Maltese scholars, educators and professionals in the field before moving to University of Maryland University College where he is currently Professor of Art. He is also engaged in designing dynamic online art courses for the New York Times Knowledge Network. Professor Cassar is also one of the museum?s internationally acclaimed consultants and advisers.
