Maltese Prehistoric Art 5000-2500BC
Maltese Prehistoric Art 5000 – 2500 BC was Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti’s 6th exhibition and was accompanied by this catalogue of the same title. An Italian edition of the publication was also published (now out of print), since the exhibition was also staged at the Palazzo di Parte Guelfa in Florence. An important contribution to international archaeological literature, this publication covers a wealth of discoveries which play a momentous role in the study of human evolution.
The exhibits were excavated from settlements, temples and hypogea, are of a personal, decorative, emotive and funerary nature, and indicate prehistoric man’s perception of the world around him.
