Malta Land Of Sea
This publication was originally conceived as an exhibition catalogue for Malta Land of Sea, the main exhibition of the Maltese Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the European Union held at BOZAR Centre of Fine Arts in Brussels and curated by the author. The second edition is an abridged and improved version of the origional publication rethought into an academic catalogue. HE the President of the Republic of Malta Dr Vella, has written the foreword and an introductory note has been purposely written by international well-known authority on the Mediterranean David Abulafia. Six essays by top scholars accompany a selection of archaeological, art historical, ethnographic and historical artefacts in what can be best described as a history of the Maltese islands told through material culture.
This publication would be of interest to all those who are after an academic albeit general introduction to the history of Malta.
