Andre Zammit is an Architect and a Civil Engineer and studied in Malta, London and Milan. He worked for the government and it private parctice and for nearly thirty years lectured at university. He is research-oriented and has written extensively on architectural and planning topics including the environment, traffic, housing and the rent laws. He is at present working on a book about the numerous architects in his ancestry going back the eighteen century.
In this book he writes about his childhood in Gozo, his sojourns and travels abroad, the experiences he lived trough and the numerous people, including publics figures he met in his long and eventful career. Some of these appear in a different light from that in wich they are conventionally stereotyped. He is also an amateur poet and humorist and comes out best in his limericks. The book contains 200 photos, some of them of historical interest, over 800 names listened in their index, 140 original limericks and 40 obiter dicta. 300 pages of Melitensia, Gaudensia and Andrensia.
