Malta Influence And Patronage
This takes a look at the height of Maltese aspiration depicted around the confines of spiritual power and authority ‘at the top of the hill’. The focus is on Mdina and in particular on the magnificent Cathedral and its incomparable collections, some of which are displayed at the adjacent Museum. It is a work in two volumes brimming with triumph and tragedy described in a compelling manner and photographed as never before.
Malta Influence and Patronage is an excursion through the Mdina Cathedral and Museum. It is a ramble, sometimes in great detail, through some of the history appertaining to them. The Museum houses, amongst its many treasures, probably one of the finest collections of Copperplate Engravings and Woodcuts by Albrecht Durer (1471 – 1528) many of which have been reproduced in their original size in this book.
